On Sunday January 24th at 23:42 East Syracuse Fire Department was dispatched to assist DeWitt PD with retrieving a vehicle that had gone into the creek on Kirkville Rd. Truck 2 (Lt Browne) and Squad 1 (Lt Turk) arrived on scene and two members donned cold water rescue suits, entered the water, and were able to successfully secure a chain to the vehicle to allow the tow truck operator to remove the vehicle from the creek.

On Thursday February 4th at 18:10 East Syracuse Fire Department was dispatched to Caton Drive for an apartment fire with fire showing from the windows. Upon arrival a line was stretched and the kitchen fire was quickly extinguished. On Sunday January 3rd at 15:14 East Syracuse Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision at 6496 Collamer Rd where a vehicle had struck a utility pole and was on its side. Upon arrival of Car 1 (Chief Shields) and Car 2 (1st Asst Chief DiBello), the driver was trying to self extricate. Engine 4 (FF Tremont) and Rescue 2 (FF Russell) arrived to stabilize the vehicle and assist the driver out of the vehicle.
Saturday evening, units were dispatched to 481 SB at the I-90 ramp for a motor vehicle collision into the guardrail which sparked an electrical fire within the engine compartment. The operator of the vehicle was able to exit the vehicle without injury. Engine #1 (Lt. Brewster), which was already on the road returning to quarters from a transformer fire was first to arrive. At 0952 ESFD was dispatched to a fire alarm in a multi story senior living residence. Shortly after the call was upgraded with a report of a fire on the 3rd floor. Car 1 (Chief Cramer) arrived in a private vehicle and assumed command. Car 2 (Chief DiBello) was assigned division 3. Engine 1 (FF McKinney) took a crew to the 3rd floor to find a stove fire out with minor extension. Fayetteville RIT and the DeWitt Truck assisted with ventilation and removing several occupants. Today at 0049 hours ESFD was dispatched to an MVC rollover on the NYS Thruway. Car 1 (Chief Cramer) arrived to a vehicle that left the off ramp through a chain link fence and was actually on Myers Rd. An adult driver was trapped with obvious leg injuries. Engine 4 (Lt Browne) and Rescue 2 with Car 2 (Chief DiBello) all began extrication. Liverpool Engine 2 assisted and ESFD Rescue 1 set up on Myers Rd for lights. EAVES ambulance transported after a 23 minute from dispatch extrication.
At 0146 hours the ESFD was dispatched to an MVC off the service road on EB 690 near Thompson Rd. Car 1 (Chief Cramer) was advised by the police to expedite for 1 person trapped. Rescue 1 (Capt Haas) arrived to stabilize the vehicle and begin extrication. 1 person was removed 16 minutes after dispatch with minor injuries. Engines 3 & 4 were on scene along with the assistance from Dewitt Engine 8.
Today at 11:08 hours ESFD was dispatched for a truck to neighboring Lyncourt FD on a residential fire. ESFD Car 1 (Chief Cramer) arrived first to a single story wood frame home and signaled a 99 (working fire) Command was quickly turned over to Lyncourt Car 2. Today at 0659 East Syracuse Fire Dept was dispatched to a commercial dryer vent and lint trap on fire at a laundry facility. Car 1 (Chief Cramer) and Car 4 (Capt Haas) arrived to a single story commercial building with smoke from a roof top unit. Engine 1 secured a water supply and Truck 2 laddered the building.
