Sat. Aug 29th 2015

(Dispatch) 18:13 ** F-FIRE-INDUSTRIAL / COMMERCIAL ** 6170 EASTERN AVE ** 6170 BLDG- ** ** M911 CC RE BUS ** COMMERCE BLVD AND COMMERC **

This evening just after 6 oclock East Syracuse units were activated for a possible industrial fire. Caller reported a large bus on fire inside of a structure.

Car 4 notified dispatch that he had a header visable from a few miles out and upgraded the alarm. On arrival he downgraded the alarm holding to a 98 fire. The bus had been moved out of the structure. He reported a fully involved bus fire and a small fire inside the structure.

Engine 4 was first due stretching an 1 3/4 line to attack the bus as the engine officer inspected the inside of the structure. Engine 3 arrived second due and brought a dry chem into the structure to put out a gasoline fire.

Engine 4 was able to extinguish the bus fire and Engine 3 made quick work of the small fire in the structure. Trucks 1 and 2 also responded and ventilated the large structure.

One civilian was burned while pushing the bus out of the garage and refused treatment on scene. One ESFD member was injured on scene and was evaluated by EAVES medics, but also refused further treatment. No damage was done to the structure, however the bus was a total loss.
